Many organizations, churches, volunteer groups, police recruits, educational institutions, and schools visit the Gurudwara to deepen their understanding of Sikhism and experience the spirit of community and service. The Gurudwara is a sacred place where people gather to seek spiritual knowledge and wisdom. It welcomes everyone, regardless of age, gender, caste, or creed. If you plan to visit a Gurudwara, please observe the following protocols:

Dress Code:

  • Wear modest and comfortable clothing that covers your legs and upper body.
  • Bring a scarf to cover your head. If you don’t have one, one will be provided at the Gurudwara.

Entering the Gurudwara:

  • Remove your shoes and socks.
  • Wash your hands.
  • Cover your head with a scarf.
  • Walk calmly towards the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture.
  • Bow humbly and touch your forehead to the ground as a sign of respect.
  • Sit in the Sangat (congregation). Traditionally, men and women sit separately cross-legged on the floor. Benches are available for those with medical needs.

Langar:

  • After the spiritual service, you are invited to partake in Langar, a communal meal served from the Guru’s kitchen.
  • We warmly welcome you to experience the peace and tranquility of the Gurudwara.
